The-10-Best-Selling-Comic-Books-of-2022

Comic books have been around since 1938, and the art form has never been more popular than it is today. If you’re curious to see what the most popular comic books of 2022 will be, take a look at this list of the best-selling comic books of 2022 so far. Maybe your favorite book or character made the list!

#1) Action Comics #1000

Action Comics #1000 is an 80th-anniversary comic book celebrating Superman's long history as a hero and a legend. It was published in 2018 to commemorate Action Comics being first published in April 1938, making it one of DC Comics' oldest titles still being published today. The book features stories from legendary comic book writers and artists, including Jim Lee, Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Dan Jurgens, Paul Dini, Ben Caldwell, Richard Donner, and Jerry Siegel. Released in April 2018 by DC Comics as part of their Rebirth campaign to celebrate Superman's 80th anniversary since his debut in 1939 in DC's comics Universe by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

#2) Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1

The second Amazing Spider-Man reboot since 2010 begins with a series that is already promising to reinvent how comic books about superheroes are written. The series will reexamine one of Spider-Man’s most iconic relationships: his marriage to Mary Jane Watson, and its unraveling after an ill-fated super villain kills Peter Parker. If you love Spiderman comics, don’t miss out on what’s sure to be one of best selling comics in its genre.

#3) Batman #80

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that there are some best-selling comic books for sale out there. Over on my website, I put together a list of comics and graphic novels I expect to be huge sellers in 2022—and Batman #80 was at top of my list. Its incredibly deep storyline created such a buzz online that fans demanded DC Comics make it an ongoing series rather than just an epic single-issue story. I don’t want to give away too much, but basically, Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City as Batman (with little memory of his missing years) only to discover he has a new teenage sidekick named Robin--who also happens to be his daughter, Cassandra!

#4) Black Panther 2099 - Issue 1

The King is Dead Long Live The King! Witness the origin of T’Challa, who will one day be known as Black Panther. Watch as he battles his way from Wakanda to Hell’s Kitchen and learns how to wield his newfound power. Watch as he hunts down Ulysses Klaw, a crime lord who will plague him for years to come. See as he first meets Luke Cage and begins to understand what it means to be a hero. Marvel Knights presents – Black Panther 2099 - Issue 1: The King is Dead Long Live The King! Available wherever comics are sold!

#5) Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again - Issue 4

The fourth and final issue in Deadpool's latest Marvel Universe massacre—and things aren't looking too good for you-know-who. After all, he IS a walking weapon of mass destruction. But, thanks to some freak accident involving Hydra Bob (Weapon H) and an unstable Cosmic Cube fragment, Deadpool will have to relive his bad day over and over again—forever! As Deadpool goes from living death to a full life filled with pain and misery, it's going to take more than just thinking positively for Wade Wilson to survive. To pull himself out of despair once and for all, our hero is going to have to dig deep into what makes him such a great character...or die trying.

#6) Detective Comics #1000

DC's Detective Comics has been around since 1937, making it one of DC Comics' oldest publications. It was only a matter of time before Detective Comics hit its landmark 1000th issue, and it did so in style. The comic book featured art from some of DC's most popular artists, such as John Romita Jr., Andy Kubert, Jim Lee, and more! In honor of reaching 1,000 issues, we decided to look ahead to see which comics will be dominating newsstands by 2022. It may seem like a lifetime away but believe us when we say that these books are going to be big deals...when they hit store shelves! So without further ado, here are our predictions for what will become the best-selling comic books in 2022

#7) Fantastic Four 2099 - Issue 3

Fantastic Four 2099 was one of my favorite comic book series from when I was a kid. The storyline and characters are timeless. Fantastic Four 2099 is known for its art style, which seamlessly blends traditional manga style with classic superhero comics. The genre is superhero adventure and it's a great read for all ages. Fantastic Four 2099 Issue 3 features art by Michael Wartella, Erica Henderson, Chris Giarrusso, and Evan Shaner. Issue 3 contains 32 pages at 9x12 inches in full-color printing on glossy paper. The cover price is $3.50 and it's published by Marvel Comics Group located in New York City. This issue will be released on March 16th, 2020 so place your order now!

#8) Incredible Hulk 2099 - Issue 4

Incredible Hulk 2099 takes a sharp turn from its usual storyline, where Betty Ross is introduced as General Ross' daughter and Bruce Banner's ex. She will make her first appearance as Hulk in issue 4. Her origin story is that she's a scientist who is working on curing Bruce Banner of his Hulking persona. An experiment gone wrong causes her to become Hulk 2099. Issue 8 will see Betty turn back into normal while having no memory of turning into Hulk. (Ed: Really? Am I sure you want to publish this?)

#9) Spider-Gwen 2099 - Issue 2

In an alternate future where Spider-Man has died and Gwen Stacy is swinging through Manhattan, Spider-Gwen 2099 returns to her apartment after a long day at work as a reporter for The Daily Bugle. A mysterious creature attacks and she jumps into action to save Manhattan from a threat even worse than Carnage. When she finally returns home again, her roommate Barry is there to comfort her after such a trying day. Of course, with his strength and speed, he’s always better at comforting than anyone else on earth...and that includes Peter Parker!

#10) Wolverine 994

In an alternate future, Wolverine is in his nineties, but still going strong. And he’s teamed up with younger versions of old friends like Jean Grey and Cyclops. The series serves as a kind of alternate history story that sets up other comics by revealing answers to what-if questions we never thought to ask (like What would have happened if someone other than Professor X had founded X-Men?). Its sales are probably helped along by a storyline that connects it to every other comic in Marvel’s decades-long history, making it more like a sci-fi mashup novel than your average comic book.
